This course provides a comprehensive treatment of project management by examining concepts, theories and applications. Emphasis is placed on planning and control for technology based organizaitons. Upon successful completion of course, students should be able to use the tools and concepts in project management.

The course encompasses a systems approach to planning, scheduling, and controlling engineering projects. The focus is on scheduling techniques and networks using analyses in pricing and estimating engineering projects with an emphasis on cost control. Significance of risk management, learning curves, and management of quality in project management environment are given special attention. Practical aspects of different types of contracts and procurement methods are discussed for engineering projects.
