Spring Term 2007

Engineering Management Entrepreneurial Studies
This exciting and very practical on-line course will explain and teach to you, step-by-step, how the modern entrepreneurial and business planning process functions from idea identification to eventual successful commercialization. You will learn how to fully develop a potential new business concept or idea into a viable, professional quality business plan. Preparing a professional quality business plan is the necessary first step in the process of launching a new business venture.
You will learn how to complete a thorough analysis of your chosen industry and market, how to prepare a marketing plan, how to prepare financial projections and requirements and how to design an organizational strategy to successfully launch an entrepreneurial business venture.
You will learn from a highly experienced entrepreneur and graduate from the Drexel School of Biomedical Engineering & Science (Ph.D. 1984) exactly what is involved in successfully launching a new business venture.
I created this course upon my return to Drexel in 1999. It has been taught to over 1800 students throughout the university. You will find this course to be full of very practical information and useful to you in your future careers even if you never actually start a new business venture.
